Memorial

(2008 - 2016)
This body of work is about reassembling the memories and feelings associated with loss.  Much of memorializing someone or something is about making sense of the moments immediately after loss.  During these moments everything is disassembled and we simultaneously mask and reveal in a process that ultimately leads to what we refer to as "moving on".  As with most transitional moments, the ones immediately after loss tend to occupy our every thought and being. With these works I am looking to understand loss through a combination of universal and personal symbols.
